LA Metro

  • Los Angeles Metropolitan (LA Metro) is now a Satellite, Southern California Chapter of CAAEYC.  The original chapter formed in the 1960’s. LA Metro serves the communities of Compton, Inglewood, Lynwood, South Gate and the greater Los Angeles Metropolitan.

    The LA Metro satellite strives to serve and promote a professional learning, knowledge, competencies and practices that supports and provides:

    • Growth and development opportunities,
    • Meaningful educational training,
    • Social and cultural experiences,
    • Early childhood administers, educators, parents, and families

    LA Metro is committed to professional development and evident-based best practices in early childhood education by increasing training, leadership and networking opportunities.

    LA Metro Satellite, Southern California Chapter of CAAEYC, like NAEYC promotes high-quality early learning for all children, birth though 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. LA Metro advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.

    We have adapted our activities, and structure to respond to the needs in the broader community, without altering our fundamental goals and purpose. LA Metro collaborates with individuals and organizations from various cultures, disciplines, and generations to promote to quality care and education for children from birth to age eight, advancing and preparing the Early Care and Education field for a global community.
