Lessons from Bev Bos

Bev Bos was a well-known mentor in our Early Childhood Education field. Her ideas of working with children are well respected. Her philosophy includes children learning through play, interaction, problem solving, exploration and discovery. Facilitated discussion with visuals will give examples of Bev’s approaches and how they can be supported in many different settings.  Though Bev is gone, her philosophies and ideas are as rich today as ever.

“A world-renowned Champion, who for more than 50 years defended play, children, and childhood itself. For more than 3 generations, her songs and stories echoed through our lives and families. And like the Legends of Old, her songs and stories will be sung, and told, and retold, and revised, and interpreted, and misinterpreted, and adapted, and modernized, and preserved, and above all remembered. The Gardener has moved on, and the garden remains.”

–Tom Rotelli on Bev Bos
