Why do we talk about an “inner calm?”  What does it mean?  Why is it important?  Think about it–the incredible stress our children and families face today, directly and indirectly:  big time stress around immigration and possible deportations of family members; the ‘Frozen” culture–singing someone else’s words and dancing as a performance rather than singing and moving as an expression of one’s own thoughts and feelings; the discomfort of a new school year, with new teachers and new children; the discomfort teachers might feel at the beginning of the new school year, or walking into a new situation, perhaps a workshop on singing and moving…

This workshop is designed and intended to offer you tools to recognize all the various stresses and discomforts and help you move through the discomfort to a place of confidence.   Once we do that for ourselves as adults, we will be better able to help our children do the same—reflect, calm down, engage successfully with new people and situations, and in the case of this workshop, have lots of fun in the process!
